Silk Taffeta is a pure silk fabric that has a polished or glassy look. It is more crisp than dupioni and sometimes considered more formal.  Silk taffeta has historically been a favourite among women's wear designers.  A medium weight, very dressy, crisp material that creases well, this luxurious faric has a lustrous but delicat horizontal ribbing, provigng lots of body and exellent scroop (rustle).  Available in many rich and vibrant colours, silk taffeta often features a dual weave of contrasting colours for a unique and supremely elegant iridescent shimmer.
