New label, Mille Feuille makes immediate entry into Australian market with the launch of an elegant Blanc Noir collection.

 

Mille Feuille - The name of elegance;  the perfect blend of quality and creativity.  This first season, a luscious collection which establishes the tone and creates ethereal new  looks.  Sensuous silks, cottons and feather-weight  wools caress the body and nurture the very soul of the wearer -because some luxuries are essential. Mille Feuille is new zealand's newest up-scale fashion  label.  

 

The first range aims to explore and celebrate  that basic thing which connects all women - our femininity.  Sophisticated looks feature dramatic  cuts that are structured yet not stiff.   

 

Consisting of predominantly silk, the collection is versatile & modern, yet glamorous and luxurious; rich in tonal hues of white.  The first collection exhibits a play on  textures, such as satins that are paired with chiffons, and silk crepes that are mixed with silk gabardines.  Vintage trims complete the reference to luxury  and finesse.

Profile: Robyn Stewart, Mille Feuille

Verge mentors six designers for their Air New Zealand Fashion Week debut in 2007

Australian born Robyn Stewart has spent more than 10 years covering all the facets of the fashion business including design, production, wholesale and retail in Australia and New Zealand. Based in Christchurch, Robyn operates Mille Feuille with husband Carl.

Robyn is passionately working with classic 19th and 20th century patterns made of natural fibres. Mille Feuille caters to the sophisticated woman who knows exactly the kind of fashion that flatters her silhouette.

Known for innovative, elegant design that enhances the figure, luxury fabrics and breathtaking vintage adornments, Mille Feuille garments are unique in construction and are made from classic couture techniques and finishes. The new collection features cashmere, wool and art deco clasps of crystal and rhinestones.
